To produce permanent good by inspiring self-empowerment within individuals in the community whose lives have been affected by substance abuse, mental health issues, incarceration and homelessness
It all happened on a cold rainy day, as I was alone at home sipping hot Coco on the porch and taking an inventory of my life. I felt fortunate as compared to many others I knew, yet I felt a void, something missing, something was incomplete. So far, I have been a Substance Abuse Counselor, Administrator and a Teacher who himself suffered from the ups and downs of Addiction. I am now willing and able to give back! We know that 10 to 20 percent of families in USA have struggled with alcohol and substance abuse. There are those living in despair, and many don’t have the necessary skills for gainful employment. In addition, a great deal of the programs which have worked for scores of clients in the past are not still available. Consequently, there are those individuals that don’t get the necessary help that they need, desire and deserve. Many individuals feel abandoned and turn to self- destructive behaviors and activities. It is my Mission to help inspire and empower these individuals
For those individuals and caregivers requiring an immediate Emergency Evaluation. Our highly qualified staff will collaborate to bring about relief, stabilization and direction to those seeking assistance. Mental health emergencies occur daily. They present themselves in emergency rooms nationwide. They present themselves in schools, primary care offices, jails, the workplace, churches, and most anywhere. The majority of people who commit suicide see their primary care physician during the month prior to their death; however, the symptoms of the suicidal patient are often overlooked. whatever your needs are, either give us a call yourself or have your designated Caregiver call us today. Freedom and relief are here.
Upon completion of a residential treatment program clients may transition to outpatient care. Intensive outpatient program (IOP) 9+ hours per week, or Outpatient (OP) typically 3-6 hours per week. These are part time programs designed to keep individuals connected and or to introduce the message and principles of recovery while pursuing employment, school, or hobbies. If you may benefit from outpatient treatment, turn to Tranquility Centers of Virginia. We will set you up for sober living and on a road to recovery. We offer two locations for day treatment, Richmond, VA. and "Sweet Hall" near West Pointe, VA. Our centers offer a community atmosphere seamed with positive energy and support. Outpatient Treatment offers a logical next step in the recovery progression, it can also serve as an appropriate first step for those who are unable to commit to full-time care or don’t require it.
Be Empowered
"Untangling Relationships" is a process. Relationships can be painful, Sometimes the people we love the most cause us the most pain. Many people seem to believe that they have no other choice, that they have to accept the hardships and problems that accompany living with a "difficult" person. It doesn't have to be that way. Always remember we can only change ourselves. We cannot change the other person. Do you want to work on you?
* I have personally experienced more individuals relapse over relationship "issues' than any other one dynamic.

Treatment planning is a collaborated effort that happens between the participant and the clinician. This is a vital part of the treatment process and where you will develop your goals and objectives A couple things to keep in mind 1) talking with clients about progress makes therapy more effective and meaningful for clients and 2) most ethical guidelines state that a therapist or counselor should have a treatment plan in mind while working with clients. There are 5 basic tenets are Goals/Objectives, Active participation, Support, and Outcomes.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a treatment technique that is used to assist clients in overcoming addiction and compound use disorders (SUD) by increasing their motivation and commitment to a specific objective, such as sobriety and abstinence.
